Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

Heavy periods are common and may be normal to you but debilitating and affecting your well-being. There are treatments available to help your symptoms and improve your daily life.

Heavy periods – NHS (www.nhs.uk)

Our experts within the Women’s Health hub understand the challenges of heavy menstrual bleeding. If you have been assessed by a clinician and deemed suitable a hormonal coil may be a highly effective solution to help to resolve your symptoms ensuring that you can enjoy life without the burden of excessive bleeding.

If you are registered with a Liverpool GP, you can self-refer yourself to the LARC service by filling out this LARC service self-referral form.

You will receive a telephone triage call and if deemed suitable a face-to-face appointment will be arranged. We offer coil sessions Monday – Saturday at CLPCN building, 81 London Road, L3 8JA and one session at Princess Park Health Centre, Bentley Road, L8 0SY.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ THIS PRIVACY NOTICE before sending your self-referral.  The document explains how your confidential information is collected and used. Any personal data sent to the CLPCN LARC service will be treated as confidential in line with the principles of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data will be visible to trained NHS staff only.
