Network Engagement Leads
The Central Liverpool Primary Care Network Engagement Leads sit in the Health and Wellbeing Team.
They each have designated practices which they are aligned to.
Their role is to engage with Global Majority communities, to contribute to improved health outcomes and a reduction in health inequalities. They do this by helping to connect the Global Majority community to local groups and statutory services to improve access to health care and by promoting to the community the benefits of cancer screening, vaccinations, and immunisations, including Influenza and Covid-19, and other health and wellbeing interventions.
They are responsive to local need and changing health priorities in the community and have strong connections with the various communities they represent.
They also aim to raise awareness of the wider determinants of health and work with CLPCN and GP Practices to improve services by supporting CLPCN staff to understand and respond to the barriers faced by our Global Majority patients and to look for solutions.
As part of the Network Engagement Lead Service, we have specialist Social Prescribing support for Asylum Seeker and Refugee patients and other Global Majority community members who need additional targeted support, including support in Arabic.
Please speak to your GP Practice if you want to access this service.
